At SoCal Audiology, maintaining the trust of our online users is of the utmost importance to us. We have developed this Privacy Policy (the “Policy”) to show our commitment to fair information practices and the protection of our users’ privacy, and to explain how we collect, process, use and share information about our users. This Policy only applies to our website, http://socalaudiology.starkeyretail.hearingaidslocal.com (referred to collectively herein as “SoCal Audiology”, “us”, “we” or “our”) and that have this Policy posted (collectively, the “Site”). This Policy does not cover any treatment, care, or services we provide, which may be governed by separate notices, including any applicable notice of privacy practices under HIPAA.

1. Notice Concerning Children
The Site is not specifically directed at or intended for children under the age of 13, and SoCal Audiology does not knowingly collect personal information via the Site from anyone under 13. Any user that believes that SoCal Audiology has in its database the personal information of a child under the age of 13 should call us at (424) 777-2810, so that, if necessary, we can remove the applicable information.

The types of personal information we obtain about you depends on how you interact with us and our services. 4. How We Use Your Personal Information

Your personal information may be processed in a foreign country, where privacy laws may be less stringent than the laws in your country. 15. Protected Health Information and HIPAA
SoCal Audiology is a healthcare provider, and certain information we create, receive, or maintain in the course of providing audiology services constitutes “protected health information” (“PHI”) under the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 and its implementing regulations (“HIPAA”).
This Policy governs information collected through the Site. It does not govern PHI, which is instead handled in accordance with our separate Notice of Privacy Practices and applicable law. To the extent any information collected through the Site also qualifies as PHI, our Notice of Privacy Practices and HIPAA will control with respect to that information.
Our Notice of Privacy Practices describes how we may use and disclose your PHI, your rights with respect to that information, and our legal duties regarding PHI.
